Many people see boxing as a violent sport. After doing a research poll, it turns out that most people believe that Boxing is animalistic. As a musician, I believe that music is the most powerful expression. It can make you feel, it can change your mood, it can help your life. Looking at the physical aspect of the human body, the ear is actually the closest member to the brain thus, the closest member to access the soul. Therefore, music and sound is the most direct way to affect someone's soul. I am using the power of sound and music to create another perspective in people's mind when they see someone with boxing gloves. I want able to control that expression and transfer it in order to demonstrate the power of sound when it is associated in an unexpected situation. This project is a performance in which the boxer will performs his moves and punches. He will have attached on him electronic circuit and wires that will output the sound according to his movement. I will include a musical opera output through the different punches and movement that will be connected to the performer in order to do a live movement-music reaction. Using the open source hardware with sensors, I can create a Boxing Opera performance.
