Spam.cafe
Tuesday May 3, 5-9pm

Spam.cafe is a solo exhibition of recent work by Lee Tusman. Tusman is a new media artist interested in the application of the radical ethos of collectives and DIY culture to the creation of, aesthetics, and open-source distribution methods of digital culture. His artistic output includes interactive media, video art, net art, experimental videogames, sound art, websites, twitter bots and pirate radio stations.

The artworks and artware of Spam.cafe feature themes of self-identity, mistranslation and new methods of communication in contemporary internet culture. The presented works include a personal spam-bot, an implementation of the Mechanical Turk, The Cinema of Unknown YouTube, hacked children's software, a personalized generative business generator, and hacks of violent videogames into exploratory surreal artspaces.
