Lionel March came to the University of California, Los Angeles in 1984 as a Professor in the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning. He was Chair of the Architecture and Urban Design program from 1985-91. He is currently Emeritus Professor in Design and Computation.

B.A, Sc.D., M.A., Magdalene College, Cambridge. Founding Editor of the international research journal, Planning and Design. General Editor of Cambridge Urban and Architectural Studies. Honors: Harkness Fellow of the Commonwealth Fund, Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Fellow of the Royal College of Art, Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications. Magdalene College, Cambridge.
