Dmitry Kmelnitsky

Dmitry Kmelnitsky graduated from UCLA¹s School of Arts and Architecture with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Design|Media Arts in 2001. As an audio-visual artist Dmitry has created work for the stage, the screen, the gallery and the city. He is the co-founder of Lustre, a multimedia art and design studio, music producer/creator behind KEMELL and a multimedia arts professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. His diverse artistic repertoire explores the fusion of myth, memory, culture and transcendent states through creative media transformation of surface, form and space. Dmitry¹s creative work has been exhibited widely in venues such as: Art Platform, Art Basel, Glow-Santa Monica, Boston Jewish Music Festival, Autumn Lights, Athens Video Art Festival, ISEA, 404 Festival of Electronic Art, Optronica, Digital Graffiti, Festival Miden, Bell-Roberts Contemporary Art Gallery, e4c media gallery, Niche.LA Video Art, Gallery 825, Club Glo, Vibiana, The Standard Hotel, Highways Performance Space, John Anson Ford Theatre, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Grand Performances, Nanjing Institute of Visual Arts Museum, Archaeological Museum of Messenia.
