Come and celebrate International Games Day at UCLA Powell Library. This day celebrates the ALA's International Games Day @ your library, where libraries from around the world celebrate a day of play. The fun runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. so stop by the 2nd floor Rotunda any time to hear talks from game creators, play board games and video games, listen to video game music, and make new connections.

The UCLA Library will be launching its Video Game Collection with nearly 50 titles across the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii U platforms. Members of the Game-based Teaching and Learning Group, First Year Experience team, and the Enigma Club will also be helping to facilitate a variety of games during this time.

The UCLA Game Lab is returning with digital and tabletop games designed by talented students from the Design|Media Arts School. Designers will accompany their intriguing creations with titles such as Checkout, Pseudo Sumo, Locals Only, Will I Get Measles at Disneyland?, Apoptosis, Bananoculus, Guatarri Hero, and Super Tap-Out.

The Game Music Ensemble at UCLA are anxious to return with a new and exciting concert performance that starts at 1:00 p.m.. GME has performed indie game music from titles such as Bastion, Dear Esther, and Journey (nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media) and are looking forward to sharing more this year.
Please consider joining us for a fun, safe, and educational public event for non-gamers, casual gamers, or experienced gamers. All experience levels are welcome and admission is FREE! For more information, please visit the UCLA Library’s website:
