Rebeca Mendez, Professor. BFA in Communication Design, MFA Fine Arts, Art Center College of Design. Designer, Creative director. Twice nominated for the National Design Award and the Chrysler Award. Exhibitions: "Women Designers in The USA, 1900-2000: Diversity and Difference" at The Brad Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture, NY; "National Design Triennial: Design Culture Now", Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, NY; "reasonsense®: Recent Works by Rebeca Méndez" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; "Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture", National Design Museum, NY; "America Now, 500 Years Later", Museo Jose Luis Cuevas, Mexico City. Publications: "XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design", "Radical Graphics/Graphic Radicals", "Clean New World: Culture, Politics, and Graphic Design".
