This presentation will explain the process of making books, based on examples by "Integral Lars Müller", the design studio responsible for many of the award-winning publications of "Lars Müller Publishers".
Lars Müller was born in Oslo in 1955; he is Norwegian, but has lived in Switzerland since 1963. In 1982,after an apprenticeship as a graphic designer, and some years as a peripatetic student in the USA and Holland, he opened his studio in Baden, near Zürich. In 1983 he started publishing books on typography, design, art, photography and architecture. Lars has been a partner of Integral Concept, an interdisciplinary design group which operates in Paris, Milan and Baden, since 1996. His books have received many international awards and are distributed worldwide (in the US through D.A.P). He is a member of Alliance Graphic Internationale (AGI) and has been a guest professor at various universities in Germany and Switzerland.
