Johanna Hedva

A born lever-puller, Johanna Hedva's got money to blow. For a duration of her tenure at DMA, she lived in a van in parking lot #3. Before that she studied astrophysics for two years, and before that fronted the junk-punk band Buttcheek Doofus. Now that she's graduated, she works for Robert Israel's dog and is the personal chauffeur of department chair Willem Henri Lucas. She's also worked as a phone sex operator, and exhibited or performed her work at the Hammer Museum and POST in Los Angeles, and a forest near Joachimstal and the basement of Jahnstrasse 6 in Berlin. The MFA Program in Art at CalArts welcomes her in Fall 2011.
