Opened in September 2006, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Center houses the Design | Media Arts and the Art departments, as well as ongoing public series of free exhibitions and lectures at the New Wight Gallery and the EDA (Experimental Digital Arts) space. Designed by Richard Meier & Partners Architects, the Broad Arts Center is located in the northeast section of the UCLA campus, adjacent to the internationally renowned Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden. The building site features "T.E.U.C.L.A.," a 42.5-ton torqued ellipse sculpture by Richard Serra, which has been installed on its plaza.

Visitors may use the "Pay by Space" option in Lot 3 to purchase short-term daily parking permits. To use Pay by Space parking, proceed to the designated Pay by Space parking area in Lot 3, park your vehicle in an available space, note the space number, pay for your space at the nearest automated pay station, then display the printed permit on the dashboard of your vehicle. Pay stations allow you to select the time you need to spend on campus and pay accordingly. An all-day permit costs $8. Pay stations accept $1 and $5 dollar bills, as well as VISA and MasterCard credit cards.
